How to consume cherries?
Now the biggest question of them all. How should you consume cherries? The best option is to eat them fresh. Of course, this isn’t always possible, so dried cherries are a great alternative as well. In essence, any form of cherries is beneficial and should be taken into consideration. You can also drink cherry juice or use the powder made out of this fruit. The amount isn’t specifically determined, but as I have mentioned there is no limit.
One of more specific matters, I must explain is how to use cherries to treat a gout flare up. First of all, it is possible and you should try this method. I tried it several times and it actually worked. The first thing you should know is that during the gout attack, you should consume cherries. It is ideal if you can eat 20-30 of them at once and then make a break. Wait for one hour and then eat the same amount again. Do this several times during the attack and you will notice the improvement. Sadly it isn’t the quickest alternative out there, but it is one of the safest and one that actually works.

Cherries and glucose
I must add that cherries contain glucose, which you must keep under 25 mg per a day when it comes to the intake. It means that you should not consume more than 60-70 cherries per a day, for a prolonged period of time. Of course, the situation is different if you use cherry powder, which is richer in glucose and which should be kept to a minimum if you have the possibility to consume raw cherries.

Organic cherries are the best
Here I will explain why organic cherries are the best. In the lack of a better word, all gout sufferers have sensitive bodies, which must be kept in a specific state and protected from many chemicals and ingredients. Cherries may contain pesticides and herbicides if they are conventionally grown. This isn’t great for all of us, gout sufferers, due to the fact these are chemicals you will want to avoid.
Organic cherries are grown using organic methods, therefore they don’t contain chemicals I have just mentioned. In addition, they are generally safer and come with more benefits.
