Almonds contain plenty of antioxidants. These are compounds that fight free radicals that destroy and damage human cells. Most of the antioxidants are located in the brown part of almonds.

How to consume almonds?
There are a few key factors here. Almonds you can find in your local store may be treated with sugar, too much salt, or any other ingredient which isn’t healthy to consume if you are a gout sufferer.
My recipe involved purchasing raw almonds and then I mix them with cherries or any other dried fruit. I get a 100% healthy mixture and it is extremely delicious. I never eat almonds with sugar or salt despite the fact, they are delicious.
If you want to do the same, make sure to limit the intake to no more than 15 almonds per day. If you consume other nuts, count them as well. Basically, all nuts share similar or the same nutrients and as such, they can be considered as the same food.
When looking for almonds to buy, look at the back of the packaging. You should see only natural and healthy ingredients. Oils, fats, and sodium must not be on the list.
Almonds can be mentioned and used by the same person almost every day. Don’t expect some major improvements nor protection, but don’t expect any issues when consuming almonds. They are safe for gout patients!
