I constantly try to find new foods and ways to help gout sufferers prevent a new gout attack and help those who don’t have it, to never get it. It has been an interesting and complicated manner but there are a lot of things I have learned during a long period of time.

What about hummus and gout?
I am proud to say that you can mix and match hummus and gout and the link is more important than you may believe. In the essence, hummus is used to decrease inflammation. We all know that gout is an inflammatory disease.
This benefit comes from two main ingredients. The first is olive oil which is known to have powerful anti-inflammatory properties and it can be used for chronic inflammation such as gout. This is possible thanks to high level of antioxidants found in olive oil.

It is the best option and the one we, gout sufferers do need. The ingredients include garbanzo beans (chickpeas), sesame seeds, lemon juice, garlic and olive oil.
What you need most, if you are making another type of hummus, you should use olive oil and sesame seeds. These two have a wonderful effect, positive of course on gout, and can decrease inflammation and help you recover quickly from a gout flare.
If possible, look for the hummus I mentioned or make one for yourself. It is an extremely easy task. Just blend all the ingredients in a food blender and you are done. You can make as much as you like within 20 minutes. By adding this food to your diet, you can expect better health and you will be more protected from pain.
